The Seaside Heights CheeseSteak Wars!

There are certainly 2 places in Seaside Heights that sell the same product that have both been around since the dawn of the O.G. – Original Guido from back in the 80’s. In fact, these places have been around even before the first Guido’s discovered the Spikey Hair Dew and Flashy Clothing. These places predate Judy Torres and the Golden Freestyle of the 80’s. These 2 places have probably served more Cheesesteaks to Guido’s than any other in the USA. Here we go…………………

This First Place is the Mecca of all places to get your Cheesesteaks at the Jersey Shore. Located in Seaside Heights – you all know it. Steaks Unlimited. I’m sorry Midway but these boys got you beat with a made to order Cheesesteak stuffed into a delicious moist Half Slice Of Pita Bread. Enough Said. The owner keeps this place rockin’ all summer long. Be sure to check it out for yourself. Here is a pic of the joint – late night after the clubs have emptied out and the rush has just finished as evidenced by the vast amounts of garbage along the ground.

Now we have to mention Steaks Unlimited’s arch enemy and that would be Midway Steaks . Located at midpoint on the Seaside Boardwalk – this place has been around for the ages as well. It’s location helps it toss out steaks to customers like flies on you know what and that is probably what keeps it so popular to begin with. Don’t get me wrong – you can get a great Cheesesteak there that will do justice to the gut and your taste buds will be happily satisfied – BUT……….it just doesn’t compare with Steaks Unlimited.

Midway = Fastfood. – B+

Steaks Unlimited = Mom & Pops. – A+ End Of Story.
